Privacy Policy

The short version: Snip2Field runs entirely on your computer. It never sends your screen captures, documents, or the data it detects to us or anyone else. There is no account, no tracking, and no analytics inside the app.

1. Who we are

Snip2Field (“we”, “us”) is a desktop application for Windows. For any privacy question you can contact us at ch996811@gmail.com.

2. What the app does with your data

Snip2Field performs all screen capture, OCR (text recognition), and field detection locally on your device. Your captures and the text or values it extracts are processed in memory and placed on your clipboard when you ask. They are not transmitted off your machine. The app makes no network calls during normal operation and contains no analytics or telemetry.

3. What is stored on your device (only)

Your trial start date and, once purchased, your license key — kept in the app’s local data folder so the app knows your status.
A local error log, used only for troubleshooting on your own machine.
A simple count of captures that produced text but no recognised field, used to plan future features. This is a number only and stays on your device.

None of the above is uploaded to us.

4. The website

This website is hosted on Netlify. Like most websites, the host may record standard technical request logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. We do not add tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

5. Payments

Purchases are processed by our payment provider acting as merchant of record. We never see or store your card details. To deliver and support your license, we receive your email address and order reference from the provider. Please also see the payment provider’s own privacy policy at checkout.

6. Email

We use the email address from your purchase only to send your license key and to provide support. We do not sell it or share it for marketing.

7. Your rights

You may ask us to delete the email address and order record we hold for you by emailing ch996811@gmail.com. Because the app stores its data locally, you can also remove that at any time by uninstalling the app and deleting its data folder.

8. Children

Snip2Field is a business productivity tool and is not directed at children under 16.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; we will revise the “last updated” date above when we do.
